CHOOSING THE RIGHT HAIR EXTENSION METHOD FOR YOU!

I hear this question all the time!
Which extensions are best?
That's a loaded question. There isn't one perfect method for everything. If there was, we'd all be using it. It's a different method for different problems. And it's important to know which extension type fits which hair challenge.
Let's take a common problem, like the hair on the top of the head has broken off from bleach or relaxer. My favorite way to camouflage the damage is with individual hair extensions spaced every 2 or 3 spaces as close to the top of the head as I can go without being seen (keep in mind the hair will seperate more when not so freshly washed).
Let's take another common problem like thin sides that won't grow. My preferred method for this particular problem is by putting a couple of tapes on each side of the head. The reasons I like the tapes for the sides is 1) because tapes will add hair without adding too much bulk to the sides of the head and won't create the look of a face that's been swallowed by the hair, and 2) Hair can be put up into a pony tail without creating any lumps. In other words, your hair will lay nice and flat on the scalp. 3) You can get tapes nice and close to the hairline while remaining undetectable.
O.k., next scenario is a client with curly hair, she loves it she just wishes she had more of it. Also, as curly hair ages it has a tendency to lose some of its curl and takes on more frizz. My favorite fix for this client is curly individuals strategically placed throughout her hair. This look is very undetectable and effective.
Now, if the same client wants to go longer with her curly hair, I would opt for a couple of rows of wefts to get the job done. I would just make sure to give them a lot of space in between them.
The trick with thin hair is to make sure the root of your extensions are darker than the ends.
If my client has very thin hair, I may opt to do all tapes on her. The trick with thin hair is to make sure the root of your extensions are darker than the ends.
The challenge is that tapes can be a little harder on fine hair. To apply tapes without damaging the hair or causing any bald spots, make sure to take as much hair as possible while still getting a complete seal.
Almost anytime anyone wants to add length I choose wefts. They are my favorites because you can add the maximum amount of hair using the minimum amount of head space. It's the best way to get the most amount of hair without causing any damage. It is also one of the fastest. I can do a row in 30 minutes which means I can do a full head of hair (2 rows= 100 individuals) in one hour versus the 100 individuals which would take a minimum of 2 hours or more.
Remember, time = money.
